- The Websave service is a joint offer from NextWeb and Maltacom, aimed at improving the internet service for home and business users, by reducing the cost of surfing during the day time, effectively extending the use of internet from the predominant 'after six' scenario to a more balanced daytime and weekend use. This should encourage better use of the Internet by students, children and parents alike.
- The Websave subscription gives the subscriber a choice of flat-rate local telephone connection per month to NextWeb or any other participating ISP.
- Websave Nite entitles the subscriber for unlimited connection during the night period, between 6:00pm and 5.59am. While the rest of the day, the normal telephone rates will apply.
- Websave Day entitles the subscriber for unlimited connection during the night period, between 6:00pm and 5.59am, up to 60 hours during the day. Any excess of usage during the day, will be charged at the normal telephone rates.
- Websave Unlimited entitles the subscriber for unlimited connection.
- Websave Nite ISDN entitles the subscriber for up to 120 hours @64kbps or up to 60 hours @128kbps during the night period, between 6:00pm and 5.59am. While the rest of the day, the normal telephone rates will apply.
- Websave Day ISDN entitles the subscriber for up to 120 hours @64kbps or up to 60 hours @128kbps during the night period, between 6:00pm and 5.59am, up to 60 hours @64kbps or up to 30 hours @128kpbs during the day. Any excess of usage during both periods, day or night, will be charged at the normal telephone rates.
- Websave is NOT an Internet service in its own, as an internet subscriptions is still needed, but a flat-rate telephone fee from Maltacom.
- To make use of Websave the subscribers must phone a different telephone number (2186xxxx), which the ISP should provide. The existing telephone numbers will still work, however the normal pulses rates will apply. For information, kindly visit the Websave FAQ.
